C.23 Capodimonte Cherubs Centerpiece Bowl

Absolutely stunning Capodimonte-style centerpiece bowl has a pierced top border leading to a basket weave patterned bowl supported by four legs and two standing cherubs.  Elaborate applied floral decorations cover the sides of the basket-style bowl.  Cherubs stand 6" tall; bowl is 4.5" tall and 10.5" wide.

This lovely piece is from the estate of former Blount County (Tennessee) mayor and former U.S. Attorney for East Tennessee, Jerry Cunningham.  I was told that he is much-loved for his sense of humor and well-respected for his honor and integrity.  It is my understanding that he left office a couple of years ago to enjoy time with his family.  You can be its newest caretaker...

My local appraiser described this piece as in "excellent condition," and it is priced as he estimated it to sell at auction -- not in an antique shop.  What an elegant accent piece to add to your collection!

Cost:  $ 225
